In Italy, all point-of-sale (POS) systems connect the certified Registratori Telematici (RT) devices, which securely store transaction data and transmit it to the Agenzia delle Entrate. These fiscal devices must:

- Automatically send daily transaction reports to the Italian tax authorities.
